Portobello is situate in Notting Hill, in the west of London, England. The large of Portobello road is one kilometre. This street is famous because there are a lot of houses in different colours.
On this street have been recorded famous movies like Notting Hill or Bridget Jones's Diary. Perhaps it is most recognizable as the setting for the 1999 film Notting Hill, with much of the filming taking place on the street. At the moment, the blue door does not exist, it has been sold.
On Saturdays, Portobello Road Market become one of the most popular street markets of London, it sells secondhand clothing and antiques.But there are many stalls selling fruit and vegetables in the market, selling over the week. The market began as a fresh-food market in the nineteenth century; antiques dealers arrived in the 1960s.
Every August since 1996, the Portobello Film Festival has been celebrated around Portobello Road.
Portobello is one of the most popular tourist destinations in England.
